Business Development Manager – Commercial Building and Construction
 
Multi-site, highly successful and growing aluminum company providing solutions to the construction, transport, domestic, office and engineering sectors, has an exciting opportunity for a high potential professional. This position offers significant upward potential for the motivated individual in a leading multinational company.
 
As a key member of the company’s North America’s business development team, this BDM will actively participate in the implementation of the company’s North America’s Commercial Building & Construction strategies throughout the U.S. and Canada.  The BDM will develop new and service existing accounts, and work in tandem with the corporate team, servicing global Commercial B&C customers.  This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize the company’s regional approach into a national strategy.
  • Represent the company at trade organizations, i.e., AAMA, WDMA.
  • Develop marketing & sales collateral as needed.
  • Develop support documentation for LEED, Paint & Anodize warranties, etc.
  • Develop  business cases for capacity & capability expansion/investment.
  • Work within the company business system to find the right fit for company products in NA (or acquisitions).
  • Will/can handle key National Accounts.
  • Work with Regional teams to support project bids, manufacturing and deliveries.
  • Work with ‘Fabco’ to create customer offering from B&C plants.
  • Grow Market Share in this space by a minimum of 5-10% within 3 years.
 
KEY REQUIREMENTS

Work Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in managing customers within a manufacturing industry. Work experience in selling technical applications is preferred.
Industry Experience Significant experience in the Commercial B&C field is a must; exposure to selling aluminium profiles is required.
Education B.S. in Engineering / B.A. in Business is required. 
Functional Knowledge Experience in project management, technical and value added sales are required.
Technical Knowledge Expertise in aluminum extrusion production is preferred.
Language Fluency in English is mandatory.
People Management Ability to influence customers and plant mfg teams with demonstrated commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation and customer orientation is required.
Other 50%-75% travel
Location No relocation required, can travel from current residence; however, prefer candidates residing in eastern US since majority of plants are located east of Mississippi River.
